CPC is one of the most established antiseptic compounds in oral care, you'll find it in leading human mouthwashes, throat sprays, and dental rinses worldwide. It works by disrupting the bacterial colonies that build up in the mouth, the same colonies that, left unchecked, are responsible for the smell.

Bad breath in dogs isn't just "bacteria." The smell itself comes from specific chemical compounds, volatile sulfur compounds, or VSCs, that oral bacteria produce as they break down tissue.
